CarpetTect is a full 4mil thick. We saw what happened when the carpet film industry tried to reduce from the standard 3mil, and get down to 2.5mil and even 2! While they tried every way to keep their price down, we realized that the film was no longer giving protection. One small drop led to a puncture, and stained carpet can be extremely expensive to repair or replace. As our culture at Gutster goes, we went the other way.
